Description
Seventeen years into a life sentence for a double murder he did not commit, 35-year-old Carter Davis finds himself released with a full pardon and paid handsomely for his wrongful conviction. He buys land and a truck and tries to get as far away from society as possible. His only friend is a 230-pound long-haired Mastiff named Travis. All too quickly, his past catches up with him, and he finds himself drawn into a battle between two criminal syndicates, trying desperately to find and protect the only heir to his long-time cellmate and mentor. To make it worse, he inadvertently rescues a girl from traffickers and finds himself caught between them and the law. But rules are for pussies, and Carter learned survival at the hands of the most brutal criminals in the roughest training center around–a Level 1 Supermax. There is not much outside those walls that he fears. As he reintegrates with society, however, he finds himself caring for more than just himself, and it’s an awkward adjustment to make.
But with the help of a secretive genius hacker, a wily old hermit miner, and the two people who fought hardest for his freedom–he learns to march to his drum and drive in his lane. Woe be to those that get in his way.

Totally enjoyed this story. Non stop action. Hard to put down once I started reading. Hope the next adventure is not long in being available.
