Description
Troubles and adventures continue for Carter in this second installment. The threats from within the local Sheriff’s Department come to a head when Sam uncovers a connection between them and the late human traffickers, who crossed paths with Carter (and didn’t live to regret it). Compounding his problems are a 17-year-old fosterling, a very pregnant and moody lawyer, an overbearing state trooper with too many questions, and a faceless hacker with an attitude. Then Jenny and Suzy return with a problem of their own. Throw in the Cuban mafia and an MS13 hit squad, and we have another high-octane adventure with plenty of unexpected turns.
